OSRS Graveyard Agility Course 2026: confirmed XP rates, Marks of Grace and the September 21 poll

The Graveyard Agility Course is confirmed as a hybrid course for players between 65 and 80 Agility, set in a dark underwater cavern with a choice of pace on every obstacle. High intensity runs 65,000-75,000 Agility XP per hour and 30+ Marks of Grace per hour, comparable to the Ardougne Rooftop Course and just below Hallowed Sepulchre Floor 4; the low intensity option runs 55,000-60,000 XP per hour and 14-15 Marks of Grace. The poll goes live on 21 September 2026 and the quest is scheduled for November. Rates assume tick-perfect play, so expect lower results in practice.

Key takeaways

  • Target level range is 65-80 Agility; the course is a hybrid with a pace choice on each obstacle rather than a fixed intensity.
  • High intensity: 65,000-75,000 Agility XP/hr and 30+ Marks of Grace/hr, benchmarked against Ardougne Rooftops and just below Hallowed Sepulchre Floor 4.
  • Low intensity: 55,000-60,000 XP/hr and 14-15 Marks of Grace/hr, positioned clearly above Seers' Village.
  • The poll goes live 21 September 2026 with four questions; the quest itself is scheduled for November 2026.
  • Posted rates assume tick-perfect gameplay, which Jagex acknowledges is hard to maintain consistently.

What the Graveyard Agility Course actually is

The Graveyard is a Master-level quest continuing the story of Olaf's Quest, the third chapter of the Fremennik series, and it is scheduled to launch in November 2026. The main reward is a new Agility course in a dark underwater cavern littered with the remains of ships that found their way there. Players dodge debris, leap across half-sunken wreckage and try to stay above water.

The course is aimed at the 65-80 Agility band and is built as a hybrid: every obstacle offers a choice of pace rather than forcing one style. On the third obstacle of the sequence you can take a narrow ledge on one side or stepping stones on the other. The ledge takes longer and grants less XP but lets you AFK and check messages; the stepping stones are a one-click-per-tick run, similar to the Yama mechanic and the low level course built for Leagues VI. Jagex also confirmed it is taking inspiration from Mod Rice's Vampyrium skilling sections, including obstacles that need a double or triple click inside a single tick.

Confirmed XP rates and Marks of Grace

This is the update that closes the gap left by the 14 September rewards blog, which described the course but left the rates unconfirmed. High intensity runs 65,000 to 75,000 Agility XP per hour, with Jagex explicitly benchmarking it against the Ardougne Rooftop Course and just below Hallowed Sepulchre Floor 4. The low intensity option runs 55,000 to 60,000 XP per hour and is positioned to sit clearly above Seers' Village while keeping higher level methods relevant.

Marks of Grace follow the same split. At high intensity the course delivers 30 or more Marks of Grace per hour, making it the best source of Marks in the game. At low intensity it delivers 14 to 15 per hour, broadly in line with existing rooftop methods. Marks of Grace are what buy Graceful cosmetics, so the rework published alongside this blog makes those rates worth reading carefully.

  • High intensity: 65,000-75,000 Agility XP/hr, 30+ Marks of Grace/hr
  • Low intensity: 55,000-60,000 XP/hr, 14-15 Marks of Grace/hr
  • AFK segments target a consistent 20-30 seconds per section
  • Benchmarked above Seers' Village, near Ardougne Rooftops, below Hallowed Sepulchre Floor 4

The four questions going to poll

The poll opens 21 September 2026 and asks four separate questions, so each reward can be voted on independently rather than being tied to a single yes or no on the whole update.

Question 1 asks whether the Fremennik Graceful Ornament Kit should be added as described: a more rugged take on Graceful inspired by Fremennik culture, obtained from a picklockable chest just before the final obstacle. Picking the lock requires 65 Thieving, and a failed attempt rewards Sunken treasure, a stackable item that can be traded to an NPC in Rellekka for Marks of Grace. Question 2 asks whether the Graceful system should be reworked into one-time unlocks. Questions 3 and 4 ask whether Ghostly Sails and Fremennik Sails should be added to the update; both are purely cosmetic and grant no benefit while Sailing.

  • Q1: Fremennik Graceful Ornament Kit, rare drop from a 65 Thieving picklockable chest
  • Q2: Graceful system rework to one-time unlocks
  • Q3: Ghostly Sails, purely cosmetic
  • Q4: Fremennik Sails, purely cosmetic

What changed after the feedback round

The 18 September update responds directly to feedback received from the original blog. Graceful changes now sit with Grace rather than Perdu, because that is where the team wanted them to live. Marks of Grace were clarified: the Graveyard is intended to be the best source in the game, but only at high intensity. Ardougne Rooftops will still give better Marks of Grace than the Graveyard's lower intensity option, so Ardougne keeps a clear reason to exist for players who prefer a more relaxed run.

On pets, the original wording was ambiguous enough that players correctly read it as threatening the Penguin Agility Course. That is not the intention. The Penguin Course will remain the most efficient option for the Giant Squirrel, and the Graveyard rate will be balanced so it is a nice way to accumulate pets passively rather than the best one to farm.

One request did not make this update: switching between recolours of a Graceful set you have already unlocked. It is technically viable now but not possible for this patch, so it has been added to the backlog for a future Sweep-Up alongside other cosmetic improvements.

05

Giant Squirrel rate and the remaining unknowns

If you are hunting the Giant Squirrel, the Penguin Agility Course stays the most efficient route and the Graveyard should be treated as a secondary option that lets you bank pets while doing something else. Jagex confirmed it will tune the rate so the course is a nice passive alternative, not the best one.

What remains unconfirmed is the exact layout and the specific obstacle mechanics. The team is still developing and testing, and Jagex explicitly does not want to set false expectations by committing to mechanics it has not validated. Fremennik Sails concept art is also not ready before the poll goes live; Jagex plans to share it in a future Game Update post before release if it passes.

Questions players ask

Questions players ask

When does the Graveyard poll go live?+

21 September 2026. Four questions go to vote separately: the Fremennik Graceful Ornament Kit, the Graceful system rework, Ghostly Sails and Fremennik Sails.

How much Agility XP does the Graveyard course give?+

65,000-75,000 XP/hr at high intensity and 55,000-60,000 XP/hr at low intensity. High intensity is benchmarked against the Ardougne Rooftop Course and just below Hallowed Sepulchre Floor 4.

Is the Graveyard the best source of Marks of Grace?+

At high intensity only, with 30+ Marks of Grace/hr. Ardougne Rooftops still gives better Marks of Grace than the Graveyard's lower intensity option.

Will I still be able to farm the Giant Squirrel at the Penguin Course?+

Yes. The Penguin Course remains the most efficient Giant Squirrel option. The Graveyard rate is being balanced to be a nice passive alternative, not the best route.

Can I switch between Graceful recolours I already own?+

Not in this update. It is technically viable but not possible for this patch, so it has been added to the backlog for a future Sweep-Up.

When does the Graveyard quest itself launch?+

November 2026. Requirements and quest rewards, including the 245,000 XP total, are covered in the Graveyard rewards guide.
